Mitch Credle lives in the D.C. Metropolitan area where he has been intensely involved in community service, coaching and mentoring Washington D.C., youth since 1982. He joined the Metropolitan Police Department in 1986 and began investigating homicides in 1991 until he retired in October 2015. He has a B.A. in Criminal Justice. His first book, Stranger in the Streets, was published in 2010. His second book, Damaged Roots, was published in 2011. He then pursued a career in video and film production becoming a certified producer at DCTV. In 2016 his first feature film became the first movie to ever play at the historical Howard Theatre. He then produced documentary 12 Years in Hell which is streaming on Tubi. He appeared as himself in the Netflix documentary Crack: Cocaine, Corruption & Conspiracy, by Emmy Award winning filmmaker Stanley Nelson, NBC Dateline with host, four-time Emmy Award winning journalist Dennis Murphy, the A&E Network’s City Confidential and ID Discovery Channel’s American Detective with Joe Kenda. He appeared as himself in the documentary Finding Kendrick Johnson, produced by renowned actress Jennifer Lewis and film producer Jason Pollock which is on VOD and Starz. He also filmed with Oxygen's hit series Snapped: Killer Couples and photography work for Canadian documentary The Grizzlie Truth. Mitch also appeared on camera for TV One's true crime shows Fatal Attraction and Payback. Also a Tubi Original film as himself.
